We understand you might have a few questions before hopping on board! Below are the answers to the questions we hear most often. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re happy to help you plan your perfect Nantucket journey.
Should I make a Nantucket Island Tours reservations?
Yes, we STRONGLY recommend booking your reservation ONLINE or by phone at (508) 228-0334 as seats are limited.
Where does my tour depart from?
Please check in at the ticket office on 42 Straight Wharf at least 15 minutes prior to your departure to get checked in and then escorted to the pick-up location.
Are there restrooms on board the bus?
No, unfortunately we do not have restrooms onboard our busses. There are no breaks with a restroom on the Signature Tour, but there are breaks with a restroom on the Westender Tour and The Blue Book Tour.
Are the buses handicapped accessible?
Not all of our busses are handicapped accessible, however we are happy to offer assistance on and off of our buses on each trip. To ensure you are booked on a wheelchair accessible or fully handicapped accessible bus, please call our office at (508) 228-0334 least 1 week in advance of your tour date.
Are children allowed on any of your public bus tours?
While children are allowed, we do not recommend it. In our experience, it is very difficult for little people to sit still for so long and would likely prefer a walking tour or something more interactive like what the Maria Mitchell Association has to offer.
Why don’t you list prices for group charters and wedding transportation?
We pride ourselves on creating custom packages that work perfectly for your event, and cannot do that if we created packages with predetermined prices. Please contact Rick Peterson who will be happy to give you more information about pricing once you talk with him about your needs.
Can I bring food or a drink onboard the bus?
No food or drinks are allowed on the bus.
Are dogs welcome on the tour?
We love our four-legged friends as much as anyone, but unfortunately there is not enough room for them to be allowed on the tour bus. They would probably prefer a walking tour anyway!
